Fansite for the star of Cranford, Wild Child, Cherrybomb and Easy Virtue
The Official Cherrybomb Campaign has been launched by ICM and The Little Film Company in order to ensure the widest possible cinematic release for Cherrybomb! In the present financial climate, it is proving difficult to sell independent movies to distributors; however, if the fans worldwide express their enthusiasm for Cherrybomb, then the chances of securing a distribution deal will rise dramatically!

At walesonline.co.uk, Kimberley Nixon was declared Number One in the Wales’ Hot 50 women 2009 list. But we all knew that anyway!

Kimberley has said there is no contact with the BBC Doctor Who crew, although some people may have hinted at it.
I just saw on Digitalspy
“Absolutely nothing [is happening with Doctor Who],” she told Metro. “They film in my home town so it would be good from a convenience point of view. I haven’t heard anything – just what I’ve read in the papers.”
She added: “I haven’t even auditioned.”
I think it’s a real shame, ‘who’ needs more welsh in it
Speaking of how her friends handle her fame?
I think they’re secretly proud and find it quite funny whenever I appear in a magazine or newspaper. As for seeing me in Metro – I remember reading Metro every morning while we walked to drama school. For one of us to be the subject of a 60 Second Interview is quite a coup.

Nixon, who lives in Pontypridd – just minutes from the BBC Wales studio where the programme is filmed – was last night thrilled at being linked with the much-loved programme.
She said: “Well, the studios where they film Doctor Who are right next to where I live at home in Pontypridd, so it would be very handy.
“It would be lovely to be filming and be able to sleep in my own bed. Being in an action role would also be great – I’ve never done anything like that before.
“If I had the chance to audition for the role and got it I don’t think I’d believe it. I’d love to film something in Wales. The new Doctor is so much younger I think he might need a young companion.”
Nixon recently appeared on the movie screen in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and will shortly appear in Cherrybomb opposite Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint, who plays Harry’s friend Ron Weasley in the film franchise.

Kimberly Nixon got British actor Rupert Grint, most known for his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, to chuck his wizardly robes in the movie “Cherry Bomb”.
In the new indie film, Grint gets to roll around naked with co-star Nixon who is at the center of a love triangle she is relishing in. One of the boys is said to die at the end of the movie, but the victim will not be known until the movie is released in a few months, likely beating “Half-Blood Prince” to theaters now that it has been pushed back to the summer of 2009.
Grint, 20, is joining his Potter castmate Daniel Radcliffe, who did a bit of acting in his birthday suit when he joined the cast of Equus which will be hitting the US stages soon as well.
‘When we were filming the sex scenes I turned to him and said: “I’m going to get loads of hate mail from girls who are absolutely in love with you – they are going to think I am this [girl] who de-flowered you.”‘
The actress, 23, tells me: ‘I’d never done a sex scene before and I was extremely nervous. But because Rupert was even more nervous, I had to pretend to be cool about it.
‘When I told my boyfriend I had to do a sex scene he wasn’t too pleased. But when I told him who it was with, he laughed for ten minutes, because he couldn’t imagine anybody having sex with Ron Weasley.’
